Turning is one of our core competencies. At Ismec, we specialize in heavy and high-precision CNC turning of large components, leveraging an extensive and optimized machine fleet. Our department includes 7 parallel lathes, 1 vertical lathe, and 1 + 3 grinding stations for fine surface finishing.

We machine parts of 17.000 mm in length, 3.500 mm in diameter, and from 2 to 80 tons in weight.
Through certified partner workshops, we also manage complementary machining operations.

The main operations we manage are:

Rough machining of rotor bodies and other forged components
Finish turning of long and large shafts with tight tolerances
High-precision grinding of bearing seats and critical surfaces
Dimensional inspection of large-scale components

Since our work is three-shift based, we can guarantee fast deliveries and our accurate and meticolous planning can be shared with the customer thanks to weekly reports.

Among the different turning machinings, we can also execute processes that require special tools produced internally.
